Cloud Nine

Cloud Nine

from 6.00

At times what our mind and soul needs is a time in the wilderness, being one with the mountains.

I left Portland, Oregon and headed to Mount Hood in the early afternoon - starting the hike late by all accounts. I hiked into the night to set up camp on Illumination Rock.

The mountain gave me back more than I seeked - with a beautiful sunset, a peaceful evening, and a gorgeous sunrise. Getting out of the tent in the cozy morning for this shot was the most difficult part.
